- Full 6 GHz band is allocated for Wi-Fi operation: 5925-7125GHz with following technical characteristics:
- Acess Points (AP) and Subordnate Devices (SD) can operate with a maximum EIRP of 30 dBm and a maximum EIRP spectral density of 5 dBm/MHz.
- Client Devices (CD)can operate with a maximum EIRP of 24 dBm and a maximum EIRP spectral density of -1 dBm/MHz.
- Out-of-band emissions should not exceed an EIRP of -27 dBm/MHz.
- The operation is restricted to inside buildings (indoor use) only.
- Access points, client devices and slave devices must use a “containment protocol” that allows multiple users to share the same spectrum.
- The operation of these devices is prohibited in vehicles (cars, trains, boats and planes). However, the operation of this equipment will be allowed in aircraft when they fly above 10,000 feet.
- The allocation has become effective since May 24th, 2023.
- ENACOM Homologation (RAMATEL registration) is mandatory for said devices.
- DC ISOLATOR:

On 25 April 2023, the Government of Georgia published a Resolution to approve the Technical Regulation on Radio Equipment.
The requirements of this technical regulation do not apply to the following radio devices:
Radio equipment must be designed:
1) In such a way as to protect the life and health of people and domestic animals, as well as to protect property, including safety requirements stipulated by the technical regulations for electrical equipment operating within certain voltage limits;
2) To provide an appropriate level of electromagnetic compatibility;
3) As to effectively use and facilitate the use of the radio frequency spectrum, in order to avoid harmful effects;
The manufacturer is obliged to put the product type, batch or serial numbers or other identification marks on the radio equipment before placing it on the market. If this is not possible due to the size of the radio equipment or the type of product, the necessary information should be included on its packaging or in the accompanying documentation.
The manufacturer is obliged to indicate his name, registered trade name or registered trademark and address on the radio device, and if this is not possible, on its packaging or in the accompanying documentation, indicating a specific place where it is possible to contact the manufacturer. Contact data must be in Georgian.
The manufacturer is obliged to attach instructions and safety information to the radio equipment. Safety instructions and information related to the safe use of the product must be attached in Georgian.
This Resolution enters into force on 1 December 2024, however, articles 3, 6 and 7 entered into force on 25 April 2023.

Iraq Communications and Media Commission (CMC) issued a recent development in the regulatory landscape of Iraq’s telecommunications industry.
Below are the main changes included in this regulation:
– A new type of type approval certificate is issued called a “family certificate“. This certificate is designed to cover several models of equipment that have the same technical specifications but differ in their model names.
– The type approval certificate is granted to any telecommunications equipment (wireless devices and wired devices) according to the type of device shown and conditions stipulated in this regulation.
This means that manufacturers and importers of telecommunications equipment must comply with the requirements set out in the regulation in order to obtain the necessary type approval certificate.

On 26 April 2023, the Government of Georgia adopted Resolution No. 162, approving the Technical Regulations on Energy Labelling Rules of Household Kitchen Ovens and Hoods.
The Technical Regulation (the “TR”) is largely modelled on Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 65/2014.
The TR sets out requirements for labelling, as well as providing standard and additional product information. It applies to household gas or electric kitchen ovens (including kitchen ovens incorporated in kitchen stoves) and household electric range hoods (extractors).
The TR does not apply to:
As per Article 2 of the Resolution, the compliance with the Technical Regulation can also be demonstrated by complying with requirements for compliance in those countries which are listed in the Annex of Resolution No. 50/2013. This includes, among others, EU Member States, UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
This Resolution will enter into force on 1 January 2025.

On 28 April 2023, the Government of Georgia published a Resolution on the Approval of the Procedure for Energy Labeling of Water Heaters, Hot Water Storage Tanks and Water Heaters and Solar Panel Kits.
On the basis of Article 56, Part 1 and Article 58, Part 2 of the Product Safety and Free Circulation Code and the Law of Georgia “On Energy Labeling”, the procedure for energy labeling of water heaters, hot water storage tanks and water heaters and solar panel kits has been approved. The Technical Regulations sets out requirements for labelling, as well as providing standard and additional product information.
These requirements apply to water heaters with a nominal heat capacity equal to 70 kW, hot water storage tanks with a storage capacity ≤ 500 liters and water heaters and sets of solar panels with a nominal heat capacity ≤ 70 kW.

BEE has extended the star labeling table validity for Washing Machine by six months i.e. up to December 31, 2023. All manufacturers who wish to continue star labeling on their product as per the current rating label may submit an application for model continuation before June 30, 2023. No application for model continuation is accepted after the specified date. The updated star rating table validity is from March 8, 2019, to December 31, 2023.

On 11 April 2023, the Montenegrin Ministry of Economy published a regulation on the establishment of energy efficiency labelling requirements for electronic displays.
The regulation applies to electronic displays including televisions, monitors and digital sign displays. Article 3 provides the exempted products in this regulation.
Article 9 requires that the supplier who places the electronic display on the market must ensure the following:
In accordance with Article 15, suppliers or distributors are required to mark the electronic displays according to the provisions of this regulation by 1 July 2024.
The regulation entered into force on 19 April 2023 and repeals the existing regulation on energy efficiency labelling of televisions.

On 07 April 2023, the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Trade published a Ministerial Decision to establish the rules and requirements for manufacturers and importers of electric ovens.
Before electric ovens can be marketed in Tunisia, they must undergo energy efficiency tests, in accordance with the regulations.
Energy efficiency classes of domestic cooking appliances according to the energy efficiency indicators are specified in Table “A” of this Decision.
In addition, if information on acoustic emissions (noise level in DB) is displayed, the ovens must also be subjected to an acoustic emission test by a laboratory authorized for this purpose.
The manufacturer or importer must also redo the tests if changes are made to the model of the appliance that could affect its energy efficiency or its acoustic emissions. These tests must be carried out in accordance with the same procedures, and the manufacturer must revise its classification according to the indices established by the Decision. This data must be updated at least once every two years or whenever changes are made to the model of the device.
Electric ovens for domestic use may only be sold or rented on the market if they are provided with a label established in accordance with the measurement methods set by the Tunisian standard NT 81.239-1 equivalent to the international standard IEC 60350-1 or European standard EN 60350-1. Electric ovens must also be furnished with the specified technical documentation.
This Decision will enter into force on 07 July 2023, which is three months from its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Tunisia.

On 07 April 2023, the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Trade published a Ministerial Decision to establish the rules and requirements for manufacturers and importers of air conditioners with a rated cooling capacity up to 12 kW.
The newly added article 7 stipulates that before placing the model of the device concerned on the market, the manufacturer or importer is required to send the ANME (National Agency for Energy Management) a copy of the reports of the tests carried out by the laboratory, a copy of the label and the information sheet.
Information shown on the label shall include:

The Agency will grant approvals for placing the device model on the market when this information is consistent with the results recorded in the test reports.

On 28 April 2023, the Tunisian Ministries of Energy, and Industry and Trade, published a Ministerial Decision which stipulates that every manufacturer or supplier of automatic washing machines is required to send the ANME (National Agency for Energy Management) a copy of the reports of the tests carried out by the laboratory, a copy of the label and the information sheet before placing the model of the device concerned on the market.
This joint Decision, amends the Decision of the Minister of Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Minister of Trade dated 24 July 2019, related to the energy indication of automatic washing machines.

On 28 April 2023, the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Trade jointly published a Ministerial Decision which amends the Decision of 10 September 2004 on energy labelling requirements for household electrical appliances in order to establish reporting rules and labelling requirements for manufacturers and importers of refrigerators, freezers and combined refrigerators/freezers.
The provisions of Article 6 are replaced by the following: before placing the model of the device concerned on the market, the manufacturer or importer is required to send to the National Agency for Energy Management a copy of the reports of the tests carried out by the laboratory, along with a copy of the label and the information sheet as per Articles 8 and 9 of the 2004 Decision. They are also required to register the data in the electronic platform created by the Agency and update it at least every two years or whenever changes to the model are made.

On 6 April 2023 Eurasian Economic Commission published Decision No. 46 amending the ECC’s Decision No. 127, 2017 establishing the procedure for the formation and maintenance of a single register of certificates of conformity and registered declarations of compliance.
The Decision establishes rules for the transition to electronic conformity assessment documents in the single register with the objective of preventing the falsification of documents and reducing the red tape associated with the production of paper-based certificates or registered declarations of conformity.
The Decision simplifies the procedure for maintaining the single register of certificates of conformity and registered declarations of compliance by eliminating the need to provide paper-based duplicates of documents. As such, the Decision recognizes the same legal effect to electronic documents and provides for the possibility to issue conformity assessment certificates electronically.
The Decision comes into force on 6 May 2023 with the exception of paragraphs 20 and 21 subparagraph “a” of paragraph 3 of the amendments (annex to this Decision), which comes into force from the date of entry into force of the new version of the general process “Formation and maintaining unified registers of issued or accepted documents on conformity assessment with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (technical regulations of the Customs Union)” in the part related to the unified register of issued certificates of conformity and registered declarations of conformity.

Ministry of Heavy Industries under Bureau of Indian standards made “Low Voltage Switch gears and Control gears” mandatory and the timeline for certification was keep extending due to the concerns raised by the manufacturers and the stake holders. After prolonged consultation with stakeholders on the various bottlenecks raised by manufacturers, it was emerged out that the timely implementation of the EEQCO is not feasible under Scheme-II and hence the certification of these below listed products will be implemented under Scheme X of BIS.
Circuit breakers certification (serial No.1) will be released in a Phase wise manner depending upon the category and the electrical ratings and for the rest of the products the certification will come into effect after one year of the notification published. (i.e. May 10, 2024)

On 11 May 2023, the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) issued a draft amendment to the Regulations on Efficiency management equipment operation regulations.
The draft expands targets under the energy efficiency management system and strengthens energy efficiency standards for certain product categories. The specific changes are as follows:
Also, the proposal expands the scope of application of clothes dryers, which are currently subject to efficiency rating labelling, from “standard drying capacity of 20kg or less” to “household rotary clothes dryers with a standard drying capacity of 25kg or less”.
The proposed effective date of revisions for the Household dishwashers, Portable air conditioners and portable heat pumps are 1 July 2024, clothes dryers is 1 January 2024.
Revisions to these products are scheduled to take effect on 1 July 2024.
