2020 年 8 月，澳洲競爭和消費者委員會更新了含有磁鐵玩具的強制性標準。這些要求旨在降低兒童因吞食小型危險磁鐵而遭受嚴重傷害或死亡的風險。有關含磁鐵兒童玩具的消費品安全標準（消費者保護公告 2010 年第 5 號）會被廢止。

新的安全標准在聯邦立法公報登記後的第二天生效。過渡期為 12 個月，在此期間，供應商可遵守新的安全標准或已廢除的安全標準。在 12 個月過渡期結束時，供應商只能遵守新的安全標準。

In August 2020, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission updated mandatory standard for toy containing magnets. These requirements are intended to reduce the risk of serious injury or death to children from swallowing small hazardous magnets. The Consumer Product Safety Standard for Children’s Toys Containing Magnets (Consumer Protection Notice No. 5 of 2010) was repealed.

The new safety standard comes into effect on the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislation. A transitional period of 12 months will apply during which suppliers either may comply with the new safety standard or the repealed safety standard. At the end of the 12 month transitional period suppliers must comply with the new safety standard only.

	Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2002	玩具安全第 1 部分-與機械和物理性能相關的安全方面，修正案 2 第 4.28 條和修改後的相關條款 Safety of toys Part 1 – Safety aspects related to mechanical and physical properties and Amendment 2 Clause 4.28 and relevant clauses with modifications
從2021年8月29日起 From 29 August 2021	磁性玩具應符合以下要求之一： Magnetic toy shall comply with one of the following requirements:
