The notified Protocol establishes the safety certification procedure for electrical products, namely single-function and multifunction laser and inkjet printers for household and office use.

Safety requirements “. This standard cancels and supersedes the Egyptian standard ES 2501.
It should be noted that the draft of Egyptian standard ES 2501 was formerly notified in
G/TBT/N/EGY/157/Add.8 dated 9 October 2024, and the Ministerial Decree No. 241/2016 which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/157 dated 15 August 2016, mandated among others the earlier version of this standard.
Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of IEC 62368-1/2023.

This regulation replaces the previous KM 260/2024 and has been in effect since February 18, 2025.
The introduction of this updated regulation is aimed at ensuring the safety, efficiency, and compliance of WPT devices with the latest technological advancements and international standards. As wireless power transmission technology continues to evolve, it is crucial for manufacturers, importers, and distributors of WPT devices to adhere to the new regulatory framework to maintain legal market operations in Indonesia.
Key Updates in KM KOMDIGI No. 46/2025
To provide better guidance and clarity for industry players and stakeholders, here are the main updates introduced in this new regulation:
One of the most significant changes introduced in KM KOMDIGI No. 46/2025 is the requirement for all Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) devices to undergo radiated testing.
This mandatory testing is implemented to ensure that WPT devices do not cause harmful interference to other electronic and communication systems. It also helps in maintaining efficient power transmission while complying with safety regulations.
Manufacturers and importers must conduct radiated emissions tests at certified laboratories before submitting their devices for official certification. This ensures that each product meets the technical and safety requirements set by the government before being legally distributed in Indonesia.
The updated regulation expands the frequency spectrum allocated for Wireless Power Transmission. The new decree introduces three additional frequency bands specifically designated for WPT devices:
🔹 315-405 kHz – Suitable for low-frequency wireless power applications, including industrial and commercial usage.
🔹 1700-1800 kHz – Designed for mid-range power transmission applications, ensuring stable performance for various wireless charging solutions.
🔹 13.553-13.567 MHz – Allocated for high-frequency wireless charging applications, commonly used in fast-charging systems and high-efficiency power transfer devices.
By providing these additional frequency allocations, the Indonesian government aims to improve the efficiency of wireless power transmission systems while reducing potential interference with other telecommunication services.
Manufacturers and developers of WPT technology must ensure that their devices operate within these specified frequency ranges to comply with the new standards.
To facilitate a smooth transition from the previous regulatory framework (KM 260/2024) to the newly established KM KOMDIGI No. 46/2025, a special provision has been introduced for test reports.
Test reports issued before February 18, 2025, under the previous decree, may still be used for telecommunication equipment certification applications, as long as they:
🔹 Are still valid and relevant to the latest regulatory standards.
🔹 Do not conflict with the new technical requirements specified in KM KOMDIGI No. 46/2025.
🔹 Have been conducted by accredited testing laboratories recognized by the Indonesian government.
After the transition period ends, all applications for certification must strictly comply with the updated testing and technical requirements to obtain approval from SDPPI/DJID.

On February 21, 2025, Indonesia’s Directorate General for Digital Infrastructure (DJID, formerly SDPPI) announced on its website that the Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs Decree No. 12 of 2025 on Technical Standards for Telecommunication Equipment/Equipment for Radio Spectrum and Radio Local Area Network Based on Class Licenses has entered into force on January 15, 2025. For products operating at 2400-2483.5 MHz, 5150-5250 MHz, 5250-5350 MHz and 5725-5825 MHz, a transition period of up to 6 months will be provided, during which the original SDPPI Regulation No. 2 of 2019 can be used.

Israel released WTO Notification Addendum. The revision of the Mandatory Standard SI 62368 part 1 and the voluntary standard SI 60950 part 22, dealing with audio/video, information and communication technology equipment, was replaced with SI 62368 part 1.
The revision was published on 20 January 2025 in Israel Official Gazette, Section of Government Notices no 11719.
The old standards will still apply when this revision enters force until 31 January 2026. During this transition period, products may be tested according to either standard.

The upper limit of the frequency band for FM broadcasting will be changed from 95 MHz to 99MHz.
The reason for the amendment is to meet the demand that cannot be satisfied by the current FM frequency band, such as establishing FM relay stations to eliminate hearing loss spots from AM radio broadcasting and keep broadcasting during disasters, and converting to FM broadcasting because of the aging AM broadcasting facilities.

Israel released WTO Notification Addendum. The revision of the Mandatory Standard SI 900 part 2.2, dealing with vacuum cleaners and water-suction cleaning appliances, was replaced with SI 60335 part 2.2.
The revision was published on 3 February 2025 in Israel Official Gazette, Section of Government Notices no 11743.
The old and revised standards will apply from when this revision enters force until 3 August 2026. During this transition period, products may be tested according to either standard.

The National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy announces the PROY-NOM-022-ENER/SE-2024, which is to establish the maximum limits for electrical energy consumption, the test method, the marking requirements, and the conformity assessment procedure.

通訊功能驗證：須符合 CNS 16014，並提供 CNS 17025 認證實驗室測試報告，驗證電源控制、亮度與色溫調節功能。
申請文件：提交 CNS 16047/16014 測試報告及相關安規文件。
標示規範：產品或包裝須標示 製造商/代理商資訊，並清楚列出 功率、光通量、演色性、色溫、發光效率、閃爍指數、待機功率 等規格，具通訊埠產品須特別標註。

The Cybersecurity Act 2024 has become official Australian law. As part of the implementation of the law, on March 4, 2025, the Australian Department of Home Affairs introduced the Cyber Security (Security Standards for Smart Devices) Rules 2025, which set mandatory cybersecurity requirements for consumer-grade smart devices.

The Republic of Chile hereby advises that draft safety analysis and/or test certification protocol PE No. 6/09:2024 was published in the Official Journal on 7 January 2025 through Official Circular No. 263828 of 27 December 2024 of the Ministy of Energy/Electricity and Fuel Board.
The notified protocol establishes the safety certification procedure for electric reciprocating saws (jig and sabre saws), designed mainly for household or similar purposes, with a single-phase electric motor with a voltage not exceeding 250 V AC and not more than 75 V DC (battery operated, Annexes K and L), and rated power up to 3,700 W.

Turkey Issues New Regulation on Market Surveillance and Inspection for Distance Selling of Goods
The Ministry of Trade of Turkey issued the Regulation on Market Surveillance and Inspection of Products Supplied on the Market via Remote Communication Tools. The document appeared in the Official Gazette dated October 30, 2024 and numbered 32707.
The Regulation sets:
A product can be placed on the market via remote communication tools in the following cases:
In case of selling over the Internet, the domain name must be registered in a geographical area where shipping to Turkey is possible.
The economic operator must include the following information in sales advertisements and prior to the end user purchasing the product:
The Regulation introduces many new obligations for suppliers and set additional responsibilities on intermediary service providers and performance service providers.
If economic operators sell or mediate the sale of products from abroad to persons in Turkey then they also require to comply with the Regulation.
The Regulation becomes effective from April 1, 2025
