Argentina阿根廷

國家通訊管理局 (ENACOM) 根據第1188/2024號決議分配固定衛星服務的新頻段

國家通訊機構 (ENACOM) 於 2024 年 12 月 3 日發佈了第 1188/2024 號決議。

1. 將71-76 GHz頻段分配給主要類別的衛星固定業務 (空對地)，將81-86 GHz頻段分配給主要類別的衛星固定業務 (地對空)。
2. 規定在根據第1條分配給固定衛星業務的頻段內，業務保護和頻率共用將按照國際電信聯盟無線電通訊規則和建議書、CITEL建議書和其他適用於此事項的國家和國際規則的規定進行調整。

National Body of Communications (Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM)) published Resolution 1188/2024 on December 3, 2024.

1. To allocate the 71-76 GHz frequency band to the Fixed Satellite Service (space-to-Earth), with primary category and 81-86 GHz to the Fixed Satellite Service (Earth-to-space) with primary category.
2. Establish that, in the frequency bands allocated by means of Article 1 to the Fixed Satellite Service, the protection of services and frequency sharing will be adjusted in accordance with the provisions of the Radiocommunication Regulations and Recommendations of the ITU, Recommendations of CITEL and other national and international regulations applicable in this matter.

 

Brazil巴西

巴西ANATEL發佈第772號決議，關於頻段分配、目的地和分佈的計畫

Anatel New Resolution No. 772 is a new standard issued by ANATEL on January 22, revoking the old Resolution 759. It came into force on February 03rd, 2025.

This standard is the plan for the assignment, destination and distribution of frequency bands in Brazil, which defines the application and services intended for each frequency band in Brazil, analogous to FCC 2.106.

Resolution 772 brought implementations and changes in the allocation and use of some frequency bands, in addition to some changes in bands in the RADIO FREQUENCY BANDS USABLE FOR RESTRICTED RADIATION EQUIPMENT WITH ALTERNATIVE EMISSION LIMITS, defined in the technical specifications table of Resolution 680.

However, these changes only affect some bands, and the vast majority of which are little-used bands, without changing testing technical requirements. So, WWAN, WLAN, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, and many others will not be impacted.

ANATEL發佈新2015法案

Recently, ANATEL published the new Act 2105. This regulation updates the technical requirements for WWAN devices, amending Acts 3151 (Technical Requirements ETA (WWAN) devices, except Mobiles) and 3152 (Technical Requirements for Mobile Phones). This Act will come into effect on August 13th, 2025.

With this update, new certification requirements have been incorporated for equipment employing emerging technologies aimed at the Internet of Things (IoT). Among the innovations introduced, notable highlights include compliance assessments for devices utilizing technologies such as 5G NB-NTN (Narrow Band Non-Terrestrial Networks), 5G RedCap (Reduced Capability), and 4G LTE Cat 1bis. In addition to incorporating these new technologies, Act No. 2105/2025 has also updated the normative references for the certification of mobile phones and ETAs, ensuring that laboratory testing complies with the latest versions of the standards established by 3GPP.

The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) of Egypt required International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) registration through the NTRA Digital Service Platform starting January 1, 2025. On January 18, 2025, NTRA sent instructions to mobile phone manufacturers and importers to facilitate IMEI registration on the Digital Service Platform.

印尼對自2025 年 6 月 2 日起對影音類產品實施強制SNI認證

The Indonesian Ministry of Industry has issued the new regulation which mandates the Indonesian National Standard for audio video device – SNI IEC-62368-1:2014, under the Minister of Industry Regulation No. 75 of 2024 on the Mandatory Implementation of Indonesia National Standard for Audio Video (“Regulation 75/2024”) to replace the previous regulation.
Regulation 75/2024 applies effectively on 2 June 2025.

Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika  (KOMINFO) is now Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital  (KOMDIGI) and SDPPI changing to DJID (Direktorat Jenderal Infrastruktur Digital). The new logo will be used in all the official documents and communications.

The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (KOMDIGI) has issued Regulation No. 2 of 2025, revising the previous Ministerial Regulation No. 2 of 2023 regarding the use of radio frequency spectrum based on a class license. This update aims to provide clearer technical and operational guidelines for telecommunications and radio frequency devices that operate under class licenses in Indonesia.

Referring to circular letter No.B-618 /DJSDPPI.5/SP.04.06/10/2024 regarding Re-registration of SDPPI Recognized Foreign Testing Labs, DJID would like to inform you that The Decree of the Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs on the Recognition of Foreign Testing Labs No. 13 of 2025(KEPMEN KOMDIGI No. 13 Tahun 2025) was established on January 15, 2025.
The Decree of the Minister of Communications and Digital will be valid from January 1, 2025 until December 31, 2026.

MIC對於修改《終端設施規定》中規定的絕緣電阻規定已於2025年1月1日生效。

總務省 (MIC) 修改《終端設施規定》中規定的絕緣電阻規定，以符合現行國際標準 IEC62368，已於2025年1月1日生效。

此外，針對與電信線路設施 (網路) 互連使用的終端設備，對符合性標誌的終端設備的技術標準分類將從A至F六類重新組織為G、H、P和Q四類。

Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) amended the insulation resistance provisions specified in the Regulations for Terminal Facilities to comply with the current international standard, IEC62368. The revisions entered in force on 1 January, 2025.

In addition, the classification of conformity-marked terminal equipment to the technical

standards will be reorganized from six categories, A through F, to four categories, G, H, P, and Q, regarding the terminal equipment used by interconnection with telecommunications line facilities (networks).

Malaysia馬來西亞

馬來西亞 SIRIM 對 IPv6 蜂窩設備的臨時批准不會延長

馬來西亞標準與工業研究所 (SIRIM) 於2025年2月10日宣佈，從2025年7月10日起，支持IPv6和LTE蜂窩設備的產品的新型批准申請和證書更新將強制要求提供IPv6報告。IPv6的本地測試實驗室現在是能滿足測試的，因此IPv6設備的臨時批准將於2025年7月10日結束，不會延期。

Malaysia SIRIM had announced that interim approval for IPv6 cellular equipment without a WiFi interface or IPv6 equipment over other mediums (e.g: fiber optic etc. except Ethernet LAN), currently in place, which ends on 10th July 2025, will not be extended. Full approval shall be granted after 10th July 2025, provided that applicants submit a complete IPv6 test report, including for non-Wi-Fi-enabled products.

Therefore, the renewal of the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) will not be permitted unless an IPv6 test report is submitted for SIRIM’s evaluation. Full approval will only be granted if IPv6 over cellular interfaces or other applicable mediums fully meets IPv6 requirements.

For Wi-Fi-enabled products, testing may be conducted at any IPv6 accredited laboratory.

Meaning that, previously those Cellular only product are accepted interim without IPV6 test report.

Now all those product must have IPV6 test report to apply type approval.

And renewal for previous accepted product will need to have IPV6 test report upon renewal.

馬來西亞發佈2025年最新電信設備公告摘錄

馬來西亞MCMC於2025年1月20日發佈最新電信設備公告摘錄CLASS ASSIGNMENT NO. 1 OF 2025。

Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) issued CLASS ASSIGNMENT NO. 1 OF 2025.

Class assignment confers rights on any person to use the frequency (ies) for a list of devices. The usage of devices under class assignment is subject to conditions provided in the class assignment issued under section 169 of CMA. No fee shall be payable for class assignment. A class assignment is valid until it is cancelled by MCMC.

Examples of Class Assignment:

• Walkie-Talkie (Family Radio System)
• Wireless LAN and Bluetooth
• Mobile Wireless Charger
• Remote Control

No application is required for Class Assignment. The devices must be certified by MCMC or its registered certifying agency.

 

Mexico墨西哥

墨西哥 IFT 發佈針對低功耗裝置的 IFT-016-2024條例

墨西哥聯邦電信協會 (IFETEL) 於2025年2月7日發佈IFT-016-2024條例，概述在30 MHz至3 GHz範圍內使用頻段的低功率無線電通信設備 (LPD) 的規格、限制和測試方法。

The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFETEL) of Mexico published Disposición Técnica IFT-016-2024 on February 7, 2025. Disposición Técnica IFT-016-2024 outlines specifications, limits, and test methods on low-power radiocommunications devices (LPDs) that use frequency bands within the 30 MHz to 3 GHz range.

This regulation applies to various low-power devices, including:

• Generic low-power transmitters (Non-Specific Short Range Devices)
• Wireless microphones
• Hearing-aid devices
• Wireless alarm systems

Exceptions include frequency bands identified for emergency, safety, search or rescue communications; protected spectrum in the National Frequency Allocation Table (NFAT); and applications inconsistent with band use according to the NFAT. The scope does not include frequency hopping and digital modulation radio communications devices under IFT-008 (NOM-208) that operate in the 902-928 MHz, 2400-2483.5 MHz and 5725-5850 MHz frequency bands.

The Disposición Técnica will enter into effect 270 days after publication, on November 4, 2025. Certification Bodies (CBs) and Testing Labs may carry out conformity assessment starting November 4, 2025, as long as they have the accreditation needed by IFT or an Accreditation Body with corresponding IFT authorization. They may begin accreditation and authorization procedures starting February 8, 2025.

Certificates of Homologation (CoHs) that have been issued according to the Guidelines for granting Authorization Certificates for secondary use of frequency bands of the radioelectric spectrum will remain valid until they expire and will not be subject to certification monitoring compliance. Devices with a CoH under the new Disposición Técnica must follow the parameters outlined in IFT-016-2024. LPDs operating outside of the 30 MHz-3 GHz and receiving a Type B CoH must observe technical and operating parameters described in IFT-016-2024. Exceptional cases are applied to bands identified as protected spectrum for emergency, safety, search or rescue communications, and whose application is not consistent with use outlined in the NFAT.

The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFETEL) of Mexico published Disposición Técnica IFT-017-2023 on February 10, 2025, which establishes technical specifications for devices that use WLAN and/or radiocommunication equipment using digital modulation technique operating in unlicensed frequency bands 5150-5250 MHz, 5250-5350 MHz, 5470-5600 MHz, 5650-5725 MHz, 5725-5850 MHz and 5925-6425 MHz.

Disposición Técnica IFT-017-2023 comes into effect 270 days after publication, on November 7, 2025. Once in effect, specifications and test methods for the 5725-5850 MHz band are repealed for digital modulation equipment and digital modulation parts of hybrid equipment in Disposición Técnica IFT-008-2015.

Equipment operating in any or all of the following frequency bands (5150-5250 MHz, 5250-5350 MHz, 5470-5600 MHz, 5650-5725 MHz, and 5925-6425 MHz) that have had approval procedures initiated prior to November 7, 2025, will be resolved according to Type B or Type C approval procedures.

Accreditation Bodies may begin procedures for their authorization of Conformity Assessment Bodies starting February 11, 2025, upon receiving authorization from IFT.

Prior approval of complementary products needed for EBP tests will be required after 365 days from Disposición Técnica IFT-017-2023’s entry into force.

Approval certificates issued prior to November 7, 2025 for products operating in any or all of the following bands (5150-5250 MHz, 5250-5350 MHz, 5470-5600 MHz, 5650-5725 MHz, 5725-5850 MHz and 5925-6425 MHz) will continue to be valid until their expiration date, and will be subject to review and verification procedures. Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) for products operating in the 5725-5850 MHz band that are issued prior to November 7, 2025, will continue to be valid until their expiration date, and will be subject to compliance monitoring with the exception of digital modulation equipment and hybrid equipment part of the 5725-5850 MHz band.

Morocco ANRT announced a new decision, including new label design and the obligation to show SAR information.

• New Label design:

There are no specific instructions for label size, font and text size. The label is affixed to the device in a clear, legible and indelible manner. If this is not possible due to the size of the device, it may be affixed to the accompanying documentation, on its packaging or through an electronic label allowing viewing.

• Obligation to show SAR information:

For any approved or approved equipment, whose transmission power exceeds 20 and which is designed to be used at a distance not exceeding 20 from the user, the information relating to the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) must be indicated as a main technical characteristic and in a legible and clear manner on the equipment itself or on the accompanying documents (brochure or user manual, etc.) or on the packaging or in the content of the electronic label that enables this information to be displayed (if such a label is present). This obligation also applies to any market offer, advertising or sale via the Internet of this equipment.

This commitment will come into effect as of May 1, 2025.

 

South Korea韓國

韓國發佈《簡易無線電台、太空站、地球站、無線電波探測及其他無線電設備用無線電設備技術標準》修正案草案

[法規草案] 本草案規定了在11GHz至14GHz頻段內運作在1100公里至1300公里高度之間的低軌道衛星通訊地球站無線電設備的技術要求。它是為了低軌道衛星通訊服務無線電波的安全使用以及保護人類的健康或安全。

South Korea released draft amendment of “Technical standards for radio equipment for simple radio stations, space stations, earth stations, radio wave detection and other radio equipment”.

This draft specifies technical requirements for radio equipment of earth stations communicating with low-orbit satellites operating at altitudes between 1,100 km and 1,300 km in the 11 GHz to 14 GHz frequency bands. It is for safe use of radio waves for low-orbit satellite communication services and for protection of human health or safety.

 

South Korea韓國

關於修訂7項電器安全標準的行政通知(草案)

[法規草案] 韓國技術和標準局(KATS)於2025年2月10日發佈草案，以修訂電氣用品安全標準，並就修訂目的及主要內容，事先聽取業界及公眾意見。

The Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) published a draft on February 10, 2025, to amend electrical safety standards in accordance with Article 5, Paragraph 3; Article 15, Paragraph 4; and Article 23, Paragraph 4 of the Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act. This revision aims to gather opinions from industry stakeholders and the public regarding the purpose and key contents of the amendments. In compliance with Article 46 of the Administrative Procedures Act, the notice is issued as follows:

1. Reason for Amendment: Updating safety standards to align with international electrical safety management conventions (WTO/TBT, IECEE).
2. Targeted Electrical Safety Standards: (see above image)
3. Deadline for Draft Feedback: Until April 10, 2025.

韓國延後實施行動和智慧型裝置的充電和資料傳輸方法的USB Type-C技術法規

2024年11月8日韓國科學與資訊通訊技術部 (MSIT) 公佈關於廣播和通訊設備 (包括行動和智慧型裝置) 充電和資料傳輸方法的USB Type-C技術法規，共有13項裝置在連接充電或同時充電和資料傳輸時必須配備 USB Type-C並符合RRA SDoC認可。原定前12項產品預計2025年2月14日起實施，第13項筆電預計2026年4月起實施，但該規定將延期執行，待韓國無線電研究所RRA進一步通知。

On November 8, 2024, the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) of South Korea announced USB Type-C technical regulations for charging and data transmission methods applicable to broadcasting and communication equipment, including mobile and smart devices.

The regulations require the above 13 types of devices to be equipped with USB Type-C ports and comply with the RRA SDoC approval when connecting for charging or simultaneous charging and data transmission. Initially, the first 12 product categories were scheduled for implementation starting February 14, 2025, while the 13th category—laptops—was set to be enforced from April 2026. However, the implementation has been postponed, pending further notice from the National Radio Research Agency (RRA) of South Korea.

Vietnam publishes new draft Regulation on certification and declaration for ICT products. Once it’s approved and implemented, it will replace current Circular No. 30/2011/TT-BTTTT

The Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) has officially announced the effective date and list of products covered under MTCTE Phase VI.

This new phase will become mandatory from August 24, 2025. After this date, OEMs will not be allowed to import, sell, or distribute telecom equipment without MTCTE approval.

To achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, it is expected that renewable energy power generation equipment and energy storage systems will gradually enter households. Due to the risks associated with thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries used in energy storage systems, the BSMI add stationary lithium battery storage appliances into the mandatory inspection scope. Two alternative conformity assessment procedures are made available for the choice of applicants, i.e. Registration of Product Certification (RPC) or Type-Approved Batch Inspection (TABI).

On December 20, 2024, the Standards Australia & New Zealand prepared draft amendment 1 to Standard AS/NZS 2040.1:2021. — DR AS/NZS 2040.1:2021 Amd 1:2024

This Standard specifies test procedures and minimum performance criteria for determining the performance characteristics of electric clothes washing machines intended for household and similar use that are within the scope of the relevant legislation.
Closing date for comments is on February 21, 2025.

On December 11, 2024, the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) issued Portaria 736 of December 10, 2024, amending Portaria 332 of August 2, 2021, the consolidated regulation for refrigerators and similar appliances. The changes to Portaria 332/2021 enter into force on the same day.

The amendment revises the conformity assessment requirements for refrigerators and similar equipment, mainly involving updates to energy efficiency labels, technical specifications and testing requirements.

2025年1月16日 DPIIT公布《Refrigerating Appliances (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025》，修訂內容如下:

經認證ISI mark的製造商進口零件豁免：

• 獲得認證的製造商 (或申請BIS認證的製造商) 可以進口零件用於出口。
• 需要自我聲明和承諾，以確保這些組件不會在國內市場上銷售。
• 必須保留記錄以供審計。

用於研究與開發 (R&D) 目的的豁免：

• 製造商每年最多可進口200台研發。
• 這些設備不得進行商業銷售，且使用後必須報廢。
• 必須保留逐年紀錄。

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has introduced the 《Refrigerating Appliances (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025》, which came into effect on January 16, 2025, upon its publication in the Official Gazette

Key Requirement:

All refrigerating appliances must comply with their respective Indian Standards and bear the Standard Mark (BIS Certification) under Scheme-I of Schedule II of the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

Key Amendments in the Order:

Exemption for Imported Components by Certified Manufacturers:

• Certified manufacturers (or those applying for BIS certification) can import components for export purposes.
• A self-declaration and undertaking are required, to ensure these components are not sold in the domestic market.
• Records must be maintained for audits.

Exemption for Research & Development (R&D) Purposes:

• Manufacturers can import up to 200 units annually for R&D.
• These units must not be sold commercially and must be scrapped after use.
• Year-wise records must be maintained.

These changes aim to support exports and innovation while ensuring compliance.

印尼發佈2025年第7號工業部長法令，家用電器產品SNI認證迎來新規則

工業部發佈了關於強制實施家用電子產品印尼國家標準 (SNI) 認證的新法規 (工業部法規2025年第7號)。該法規取代了空調、洗衣機、冰箱、水泵、電熨斗、廚房機械和加熱液體的 SNI 法規。

新法規將於2025年7月24日生效，並於2026年7月24日實施。

Ministry of Industry has issued new regulation (Ministry of Industry regulation No. 7 year 2025) concerning the Mandatory Implementation of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) Certification for Household Electronics. This regulation is replacement of the SNI Regulation of Air Conditioning, Washing Machine, Refrigerator, Water Pump, Electric Iron, Kitchen Machine, and Heating Liquid.

The new regulation will come into force on July 24th 2025 and will be implemented on July 24th 2026.

Highlights:

1. New application refers to new regulation (Ministry of Industry regulation No. 7 year 2025)

The new application following this new regulation can be started on July 24th 2025 and/or after we received appointment from the Ministry. Currently, the Ministry has not announced the estimation of the appointment release date.

2. On going application

All projects that currently still on-going (new certification, additional family, additional model, and surveillance) which refer to the old regulation, must be completed before the new appointment released. If it is not completed, the certification process needs to be restarted by referring to the new regulation.

3. Surveillance Schedule and Completion Target
4. a) The surveillance scheduling will follow provisions in SNI old regulation and/or LSPro scheme, which allows ±3 months from surveillance schedule that stated in the certificate.
5. b) Considering the estimated project completion and issuance of Certification Body/LSPro and Lab appointments, we will limit audit and market sampling activities until March 2025. Surveillance schedule that can be conducted until March 2025 (following the provisions in point 3a) will be contacted separately by our team for further arrangement.
6. Certificate Validity
7. a) Certificates that have completed surveillance in 2025 (and previous years) before the appointment for Certification Body/LSPro and Laboratory are issued, will remain valid until the next surveillance.
8. b) Certificates which surveillance scheduled after the appointment for Certification Body/LSPro and Laboratory are issued, cannot conduct surveillance and will be terminated based on the maximum tolerance for surveillance.

SASO發佈家用冰箱和洗衣機的能效、測試及標籤要求的2025版標準草案

[法規草案] 沙烏地阿拉伯標準與品質組織 (SASO) 發佈了針對家用冰箱和洗衣機的能源性能、測試及標籤要求的新版草案標準Draft SASO 2892:2025和Draft SASO 2885:2025。

公眾諮詢期為發佈後60天。建議的通過和生效日期是在官方憲報公佈之日起2年後。

The Saudi Standards and Quality Organization (SASO) has published new draft standards for energy performance, testing and labeling requirements for household refrigerators and washing machines, Draft SASO 2892:2025 and Draft SASO 2885:2025.

The final date for comments is 60 days from the date of notification. The proposed adoption and entry into force date is 2 years after the date of publication in the official gazette.

韓國能源廳發佈 [能源效率等級制度] 各能效管理設備適用標準生效日期資訊

2025年1月2日，韓國能源廳發佈了一份關於能源效率法規管控範圍內的各類產品的能效標準實施日期的通知。製造商在創建能效標籤時必須參考這份通知中對應的產品標準實施日期。

以電冰箱為例：能效標籤上的0000.00.00需要更改為2021.10.01

On 02 January 2025, Korea Energy Agency published Efficiency Rating System Information on the effective date of application standards for each item of efficiency management equipment. Manufacturers must refer to the implementation date of the product standards in this notice when creating energy efficiency labels.

Taking refrigerators as an example, 0000.00.00 must be changed to 2021.10.01 on the energy efficiency labels.

UAE released draft standard – Labeling – Energy  Efficiency  Label  for  Electrical  Appliances UAE.S 5010-4 Part  4 – Electrical  water  heater.

This Standard specifies the Energy Performance Standard and testing requirements of electric storage water heaters and Instantaneous electric water heaters.

It shall apply to water heaters with power under or equal to 70 kW and to products with a capacity up to 2,000 liters for all types of water heaters

2025年2月11日，DPIIT 更新2019年版QCO 至《the Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025》。

針對空調和冷凍設備製造商，自2025年版修正案生效日一年之內，容量超過7000瓦 (2噸) 的密閉式壓縮機延長一年豁免直至2026年2月11日後再納入。

On 11 February 2025, DPIIT updated the 2019 version QCO to 《the Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025》. It shall be noted that nothing in this order shall apply to Hermetic Compressors of more than 7000 W (2TR) capacity for one year from the date of commencement of the Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025 to the manufacturers of Air conditioning and Refrigeration equipment and related parts.

GEMS於2024年12月23日發佈《溫室效應及能源最低標準 (一般照明用白熾燈) 決議2024》。

• 提高最低能源性能標準
• 改變可註冊模型的範圍
• 列出了不符合附表 1 中新要求的註冊類型清單
• 允許在 2025 年 10 月 4 日之前已進口或在澳洲生產的現有庫存在 2030 年 10 月 3 日之前供應給市場

除了 2024 年決議附表 1 所列的型號，供應商無需立即採取行動，可繼續銷售根據 2016 年決議註冊的現有白熾燈型號。新的要求僅在新的白熾燈型號需要註冊，或現有白熾燈型號註冊到期且需要註冊才能銷售時才會生效。

GEMS released the 《Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Incandescent Lamps for General Lighting Services) Determination 2024 》on December 23, 2024. From October 4, 2025, tungsten filament, carbon filament, and halogen incandescent bulbs that are in the scope of the regulations must meet and register under this new determination.

This 2024 determination:

Increases Minimum Energy Performance Standards.

Changes the scope of models that can be registered.

Includes a list of registered models that will not meet the new requirements under Schedule 1. These model registrations will expire on October 3, 2025, and they will no longer be approved for registration in Australia.

Sets out grandfathering arrangements, allowing existing stock already imported or manufactured in Australia prior to October 4, 2025, to be supplied to the market until 3 October 2030, provided they meet the grandfathering provisions.

No immediate action is required by suppliers to continue selling existing incandescent models registered against the 2016 determination – except for those listed in Schedule 1 of the 2024 determination. The new requirements only take effect when a new incandescent model needs to be registered, or when an existing incandescent model’s registration expires and it needs to be registered for sale.

Suppliers with a registration that is about to expire or are considering registering new models between October 4, 2024, and October 3, 2025, need to consider:

Whether they register the models under the 2024 or 2016 determination (subject to eligibility), or

when to discontinue models, if the model cannot be supplied after October 3, 2025.

埃及發佈標準 ES: 7825「燈具 – 一般要求和測試」草案

[法規草案] 埃及標準 ES 7825 的草案規定了燈具的一般要求，包括電源電壓高達 1000V 的電光源。

這些聲明可能要求，對於此類商品，先前的標準可以繼續適用於生產，直到規定的日期之後，新標準應適用。
另外值得一提的是，該標準草案在技術上與 IEC 60598-1/2020 相同。

This draft of Egyptian standard ES 7825 specifies general requirements for luminaires, incorporating electric light sources for operation from supply voltages up to 1000 V.  The requirements and related tests of  this document  cover classification, marking, mechanical,construction, electrical construction and photobiological safety.

The statements may require that for such products, the previous standard may continue to apply to production until a defined date after which the new standard shall apply.

Worth mentioning is that this draft standard is technically identical with IEC 60598-1/2020

2024 年能源效率與保護法案 (EECA) 頒布，旨在規範馬來西亞的能源高效消耗和保護。

該新法案規定，用能產品的製造商和進口商必須向能源委員會註冊。涉及的產品必須滿足基本能源性能要求，加貼能源效率等級標籤，並支援在市場上使用節能產品。

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024 was enacted to regulate the efficient consumption and conservation of energy in Malaysia.

This new act has specified that manufacturers and importers of energy-using products must register with the Energy Commission. The products involved must meet basic requirements for energy performance, place an energy efficiency rating label, and support the use of energy-saving products in the market.

The Standing Committee of Officials (SCO) issued an information bulletin regarding plug-pack type power supplies, battery chargers, and similar equipment with integral pins in Australia/New Zealand.
The aim of the bulletin is to prevent certification of devices equipped with integral plug pins of US or Japanese type, as well as European type plug pins that are form part of the device cover.
The SCO notes that the national standard AS/NZS 3112 “Approval and Test Specification – Plugs and Socket-Outlets” is going to be amended to clarify the requirement regarding detachable plug portions used in equipment.
All manufacturers and suppliers of power supplies, battery chargers, and similar equipment with integral pins should pay attention to the bulletin and the upcoming changes in Australia and New Zealand.

Mexico published draft Mexican Official Standard PROY-NOM-016-ENER-2024. This draft Mexican Official Standard establishes the minimum energy efficiency values, test method, marking requirements and conformity assessment procedure.

It applies to electric continuous duty, air-cooled, horizontally or vertically mounted, single rotational frequency (rotational speed of the motor shaft or axis), open- or closed-loop, three-phase squirrel-cage asynchronous AC induction motors with a rated output of 0.746 kW to 373 kW, 2, 4, 6 or 8 poles and at least a marked rated voltage of up to 600 V, which are imported, manufactured or marketed within the United Mexican States.

The following are excluded from the scope of this draft Mexican Official Standard: Electric motors that require auxiliary or additional cooling equipment.

為了確保電動車充電設備的安全並保障消費者權益，BSMI 將目前屬於自願性產品認證 (VPC) 範疇的電動車充電設備（功率 ≤ 30kW）納入強制性檢驗的範圍內。BSMI 提供兩種合格評定程序，供申請人選擇：產品認證註冊 (RPC) 或 型式認可批次檢驗 (TABI)。

To ensure the safety of Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment and protect consumer rights, the BSMI includes Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment (less than or equal to 30 kW), which is currently subject to Voluntary Product Certification (VPC) into the scope of mandatory inspection of the BSMI.
