2020 年 8 月，澳大利亚竞争和消费者委员会更新了含有磁铁玩具的强制性标准。这些要求旨在降低儿童因吞食小型危险磁铁而遭 受严重伤害或死亡的风险。有关含磁铁儿童玩具的消费品安全标准（消费者保护公告 2010 年第 5 号）会被废止。

新的安全标准在联邦立法公报登记后的第二天生效。过渡期为 12 个月，在此期间，供应商可遵守新的安全标准或已废除的安全标 准。在 12 个月过渡期结束时，供应商只能遵守新的安全标准。

In August 2020, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission updated mandatory standard for toy containing magnets. These requirements are intended to reduce the risk of serious injury or death to children from swallowing small hazardous magnets. The Consumer Product Safety Standard for Children’s Toys Containing Magnets (Consumer Protection Notice No. 5 of 2010) was repealed.

The new safety standard comes into effect on the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislation. A transitional period of 12 months will apply during which suppliers either may comply with the new safety standard or the repealed safety standard. At the end of the 12 month transitional period suppliers must comply with the new safety standard only.
