The 40,000 sticks of wood used in the Olympic Village Plaza are from the organizer and borrowed from 63 local governments in Japan that approved by the FSC. They must be returned to the government after the Olympics for continued recycling use.

 

99%比賽用品能被重複使用與回收

99% of game supplies can be reused and recycled

 

本屆奧運會是首次有18000張床架幾乎使用可再生材料製成，床墊也來自再生使用的聚乙烯材料，可承重200公斤。

For the first time in Olympics, there are 18,000 bed frames made of almost recycled materials, and the mattresses are also made from recycled polyethylene materials, which can support 200 kgs.

 

大會員工的運動服由回收塑膠、植物纖維製成。

The sportswear of Olympic staff is made of recycled plastic and plant fiber.

 

聖火台座所使用的金屬來自311大地震時建造的臨時房屋之回收鋁材料。
